Hello Chapter Members,
25th Reverse Trade Show and 1st Trade Show: Reverse Trade Show and Trade Show is Friday, November 8, 2024, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM at Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Orlando at SeaWorld!!! The response from the vendor community, Central Florida area agencies, and our volunteers is fantastic! We have 6 Diamond Sponsors, 7 Gold Sponsors, and 20 Silver Sponsors for a grand total of 33 Sponsors! There are around 350 vendor attendees. We have over 30 agencies with approximately 120 agency attendees. Of these agency attendees, 18 have volunteered in various positions to make the event as smooth as possible. Thank you to the vendor community, Central Florida area agencies, and our volunteers for your support of our Chapter! Special thanks to our Diamond Sponsors for supporting our 1st ever Trade Show at the event!
Chapter Membership Meeting and Workshop: Register for the Friday, December 6, 2024, Chapter Membership Meeting, State of the Chapter, and Workshop. US House of Representative member Ric Keller will provide us with information on two important leadership topics: Leadership Communications and Leading with Civility. Then Carrie Mathes, Orange County Government Procurement Division Manager II, will enlighten us on how we can Expand our Sphere of Influence. The cost for this event for chapter members and non-members is $20.00. Hot lunches will be provided to all that attend in-person. Attendees will be granted 3.5 hours of continuing education credits for NIGP or UPPCC certification/re-certification.
Scholarship Deferment: If you have scholarship dollars, please complete the Deferment Survey at Surveys - Central Florida Chapter of NIGP (cfcnigp.org). You must log in on our website. This survey must be completed by the December 15th deadline. You may also choose to use some of your scholarship dollars for our community service initiative! NOTE: If you do not currently have scholarship dollars listed on the scholarship log, you do not need to complete this survey.
Buyer/Manager of the Year Application: Do you have an amazing team member that you would like to acknowledge? Do you appreciate your work? This is your chance to nominate a team member or yourself for recognition! The Buyer of the Year and Manager of the Year Application is available on our website under Documents, Folder Member Awards. This Award recognizes contributions to the entity, profession, and Chapter during the period of January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2024. It is a self-nomination or peer-nomination application. The due date is January 31, 2025 to president@cfcnigp.org.
